A Greek greentech company reimagining the materials of tomorrow.

PHEE is a Greek greentech company transforming agricultural, industrial, and other underutilized residues into premium bio-based panels and decorative surfaces for architecture, furniture, and product design.
Our journey began in 2013, inspired by a TEDx talk by Paul Efmorfidis, co-founder of COCO-MAT, who challenged the audience to rethink the value of Posidonia oceanica residues washed ashore instead of treating them as waste. That idea became the spark behind PHEE.
After three years of privately funded R&D, we introduced the world's first commercially available composite material manufactured from upcycled Posidonia oceanica. Today, PHEE transforms coffee grounds, cocoa husks, wild artichoke, seaweed, and other plant-based residues into innovative materials with distinctive aesthetics and environmental benefits.
Our vision has remained unchanged: to bring nature back into everyday life and create a world where no valuable residue is ever considered waste.
We embrace biophilia by transforming plant-based residues into materials that reconnect people with nature.
We develop healthier, bio-based alternatives to conventional materials for everyday products and spaces.
We replace fossil-based materials with bio-based alternatives that help reduce the embodied carbon of the products and spaces our partners create.
We build circular value chains with our partners, upcycling residual biomass into high-value materials and diverting it from landfill.
Through the PHEE Materials Lab, we continuously develop the next generation of biocomposites, turning research into market-ready materials and products.
Explore the LabWe believe the future of materials is bio-based, circular, and locally sourced.
Through the PHEE Materials Lab, we continuously develop the next generation of bio-based materials and collaborate with industry, policymakers, and feedstock providers to expand into new applications across architecture, furniture, product design, and emerging commercial sectors. Every new application proves that residual biomass is not waste. It is the raw material of tomorrow.
Join us in shaping the future of bio-based materials and the circular economy.
