Zeyelo handcrafts wooden eyewear on Syros. For The Seagrass Collection they wanted a frame that carried the Aegean itself — a material with the beauty, power, and adventure of the sea they grew up beside.
Designed and handcrafted by Zeyelo Eyewear in Syros, the Seagrass Collection is the first handcrafted sunglasses collection made with PHEE Board™ and wood. As the material innovation partner, PHEE transformed upcycled Posidonia Oceanica washed-up leaves into a premium eyewear material, bringing the resource back to where it belongs — the sea. Each frame is refined by hand and finished with a salve of soy wax and pure olive oil, keeping it water-proof, vegan, and satin to the touch. The lenses are produced by Carl Zeiss Vision and are fully replaceable, and the WAVE model comes in natural and light-blue seagrass.
