Corn, sunflower, and industrial hemp leave behind large volumes of crop residue, while Posidonia leaves wash up on Greek shores. PHRESCO set out to turn both into a single engineered board for furniture and interior construction.
Waste from corn, sunflower, and industrial hemp crops, together with marine Posidonia leaves, is turned into a three-layer sandwich board: an agri-residue particleboard core faced with Posidonia surfaces, bonded with plant-derived adhesives developed in the project.
