The Scope

The construction sector is one of the most carbon-intensive industries, still dependent on fossil-based and extractive materials. BIOS-mater sets out to prove that agrifood and biomass by-products can become durable, high-performance building components, validated at real demonstration sites across Europe.

Our Proposal

As one of 22 partners across 10 countries, PHEE contributes its circular biocomposite manufacturing to the development of new bio-based building materials, turning agrifood and biomass by-products into durable components tested at real-world demonstration sites.

Funding

  • BIOS-mater
  • Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking
  • Bio-based Industries Consortium
  • Co-funded by the European Union
